JadeGot the call to stay late at the office. Took the fitted black dress off instead and hung it on the closet door in the soft light. I am in the slip now. The night is not the office's anymore. It is yours, if you walk in 👗
JadeSlept in the cream sheets that still smell like you from last week. Did not change them. Could not. Lying in the soft slip in the morning light thinking about the next time you come over. Make it soon 🛏️
JadeLate afternoon nap. The rumpled cream sheets are honest about how late it got. I am in the satin slip with my hair on the pillow. Come over. The bed is the warm kind. I will not change it 🛌
JadeStepped out of the dress at midnight in the soft warm bedroom light. The day finally surrendered. Sitting on the edge of the bed in the silk slip with my hair down, looking at the phone, hoping the right message comes through ⏳
JadeNew champagne satin sheets on the bed. Saturday in the soft camisole. Phone off. Come over, no one is going to interrupt. The afternoon is the slow kind and the sheets are still cool 🛏️
JadeNew long satin opera gloves arrived. Standing at the candlelit bedroom mirror pulling them on slowly. Tried them on twice. The mirror approved. Come over. I want you to be the one who takes them off ✨
JadeSunset on the balcony in the soft slip dress, wine glass full, the view doing the thing it always does at this hour. I left the door to the balcony open. Walk in, the second chair on the right is yours 🍷
JadeWalked to the candlelit vintage mirror in the new long ivory silk robe. Twice, because the second time felt different. Come over and tell me which version was the right one. I think it was the second 🪞
JadeWalked to the darkened apartment window at night in the long silk robe. The streetlight noticed, in the way streetlights do. I want you to be the one who notices next time. Come over, the robe is the soft one 🌃
JadeNew soft pink satin nightgown today. The shopkeeper smiled when I picked the colour. Standing at the candlelit vintage mirror in it. Come over, this one is for the right kind of evening and I think tonight is one 💗
JadeLong mirror selfie in the sunny bedroom this morning in the oversized cream cardigan. The cardigan is the only thing in frame I planned. I am saving the shot for you in my drafts. Ask me to send it. I will, slowly 📸
JadeNew dark silk robe arrived today. Slipped it on for the bedroom mirror in the soft sunny light. Took the photo I will only send to you. Tell me whether to keep it on when you walk in. I will probably keep it on either way 💋
JadeSunday morning. No alarms set. The cream linen pyjamas are on. The light is good. The bed is wide enough for two and I have the side closest to the window. Stay a while. I am not making plans 🛏️
JadeBedroom light at ten at night is the only honest light there is. I am at the edge of the bed in the long ivory slip in the dim warm light, thinking. The thing I am thinking about is you. Come over before the candle gets low 🌙
JadeSlow morning. The draped oversized cardigan on, the cream sheets cool, the golden light doing the honest thing. I am lying on my side thinking about the way you looked at me yesterday. Come back over, the bed has not been made and I am not going to make it ☀️
JadeBedroom window open. The night is warm, the kind that smells like the city in summer. Standing in the soft slip with the single candle burning on the dresser. The night is the right shape for the right person 🕯️
JadeSlept in late this morning in the soft cream camisole. The coffee is on the night-table for two and the curtains are doing the thing the light only does at this hour. Come back to bed. The morning is mine, and I want it to be ours 🌅
JadeSundown on the soft cream couch in the satin slip, champagne flute in hand. The kind of golden hour that earns itself. The second flute is on the table. Come over before the colour leaves the windows 🥂
JadeBath bomb fizzed for ten minutes in the rose-petal water. So did I, more or less, wrapped in the soft white robe on the edge. The candle on the shelf is doing the thing I like. Get in, the second towel is warming 💦
JadeWalked the candlelit apartment in the slippers tonight in the long silk robe. Just the candles and me, the way it gets when I am thinking about you specifically. Come over, the door is the unlocked kind 🕯️
